The Fall and Free Will
We are in the midst of a multi-week series at Missio Dei called “The Story…making sense of a messy world”
In this series we are going over the 4 major themes of Scripture -
Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Restoration.
Last week after the sermon regarding The Fall from Genesis 3, questions about our free will began to surface. In fact at my mission group on Thursday night we spent a great deal of time discussing free will and how it relates to the Fall and sin in general.
In light of this I wanted to pass along an excerpt from a class taught at Covenant Seminary on Calvin’s Institutes. In this excerpt the professor, David Calhoun, addresses the subject from Calvin’s perspective and I found it to be very helpful. Continue reading
